Wade Bradley

Wade Bradley

Founder/CEO

Wade has over twenty-five years of experience as an executive in venture capital, corporate development and investment management. He founded IndieVest to address what he felt were the most persistent problems in the independent film industry. Previously, he founded Empire Ventures, a successful enterprise software/network infrastructure venture capital firm.

As an active manager and lead investor, Wade brings superb operational, financial, and strategic experience to companies in their early, developmental, and operational stages. He was featured in the book The Insider’s Guide to Venture Capital, and is a prominent member of the venture capital and angel investor communities. Wade attended the University of Minnesota, and is a Principal at IndieVest Securities.


Helen Rosenberg

Helen is a senior executive with nearly twenty-five years of financial and operational experience in the media and entertainment industry. Most recently, she worked as CFO at The Nielsen Company’s Entertainment division and at Universal Studios’ Focus Features.

She previously worked as a senior executive for Barry Diller’s IAC for 8 years, including her role as CFO of its film and broadcasting divisions.


Will Mayall

Will has over thirty years of experience in the information technologies industry. He is a co-founder of Nononina, the creators of Alltop.com. Before that, he was Vice President of Engineering at Garage Technology Ventures. In that role, he was responsible for the design and implementation of Garage’s public website, internal MIS functions and Web-based, business-plan submission and processing system. Prior to Garage Technology Ventures, Mr. Mayall was Founder and President of Fog City Software, where he served as the primary product designer for Claris Emailer and LetterRip. He has been the Vice President of Engineering of ACIUS and has worked at Apple Computer.

Jeremy began his career at Abrams Artists Agency, and later accepted a position with International Creative Management (ICM), where he worked in the independent feature film packaging department, assisting in the procurement of financing and distribution arrangements for independent films being produced or acquired. He has Series 22, 24, 63, and 66.

Mark Burton

Mark Burton

President

Mark has most recently completed production on IndieVest Pictures’ Saint John of Las Vegas, starring Steve Buscemi and Sarah Silverman. Preceding its North American theatrical release, Saint John was chosen as the opening night film for the 2009 CineVegas Film Festival. Mark was honored to receive a 2007 Academy Award nomination as an Executive Producer of Water (Best Foreign Film), the third film in director Deepa Mehta’s trilogy. Prior to these films, Mark produced Santosh Sivan’s The Terrorist, which garnered an Independent Spirit Award nomination, and also executive produced his second feature, Asoka. His other film productions include Cherish, Bigger Than the Sky (released theatrically by MGM), and 16 Years of Alcohol, which was nominated for six British Independent Film Awards.

Mark is a highly experienced producer and was producing partner with Hilary Swank and Chad Lowe at Accomplice Films. Mark is a member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts and serves on the board of the Los Angeles Indian Film Festival. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California.

Matt recently completed production on IndieVest Pictures’ Saint John of Las Vegas. Matt has over ten years of experience as an executive in both the studio and independent film worlds. After working in the Acquisitions and Co-Productions departments at New Line Cinema and Universal Pictures, he co-founded Rogue Pictures, then a genre production and releasing division of October Films.

Matt served as a development and acquisitions executive at USA Films, which released several Academy Award-winning and -nominated films such as Traffic and Gosford Park. While at USA Films he also oversaw the development and production of films such as the psychological horror film Session 9 starring David Caruso and Peter Mullan; and urban romantic comedy Deliver Us from Eva, starring LL Cool J.


Akua Murphy

Akua has worked in various capacities on both the independent and studio sides of the film industry, gaining valuable experience in development, production, and distribution at companies including Good Machine, New Line Cinema, Double Feature Films, and Twentieth Century Fox. Akua is a graduate of the University of Southern California, where she earned an MFA in Motion Picture Producing from the Peter Stark Producing Program. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from Yale University.
